All funds raised during the AIRC Christmas campaign are devoted to pediatric cancer research projects to ensure increasingly effective treatments for young cancer patients.

In Italy, it is estimated that around 1,400 children and young people under the age of 14 are affected by cancer every year, while among adolescents aged 15 to 19, the calculated cases are around 900.
Altogether, pediatric cancers account for 1% of all malignancies.
Today, thanks to the work of doctors and researchers, survival at five years after diagnosis exceeds 80% for leukaemia and is around 70% for solid cancers.

In 2022 alone, AIRC is supporting 78 research projects on pediatric cancers with a total investment of 8.5 million euros and with the goal of being able to cure all young patients, thanks to the development of specific therapies that are increasingly precise, effective and less toxic.

For the entire duration of the AIRC Christmas campaign, IMEC is donating 10% of the value of every order placed on the Online Shop to the FONDAZIONE AIRC pediatric cancer research projects. The initiative is valid on all purchases made until 31-12-2022
